The Beta Investment Report (BIR) is an independent-minded newsletter intent on finding opportunities in the global capital and commodity markets for use within a strategic and tactical asset allocation framework. BIR is edited by veteran financial journalist and author James Picerno. The editor has been analyzing and writing about portfolio strategies since the early 1990s at Bloomberg, Dow Jones and other media groups before becoming an independent analyst and writer. Picerno is also the editor of The Capital Spectator, a widely read and respected web-based financial/ economics site.
BIR evaluates the world's major asset classes—the so-called betas of stocks, bonds, real estate (REITs), commodities as well as their principal subcategories—and index fund products in search of historical perspective and prospective opportunity for designing and managing portfolios. Informed by a deep understanding of finance theory, empirical research and real-world performance records, the newsletter offers timely advice and analysis for individuals and institutions with medium- to long- term investment horizons. BIR's core readership is focused on globally diversified investment portfolios using index mutual funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs) in a dynamic asset allocation setting. BIR is also a valuable resource for active- management-oriented investors and strategists who are looking for "big picture" perspective.
BIR is published monthly and emailed as a PDF file to subscribers mid-month, 12 times a year. To subscribe with a major credit card or PayPal account, please use the payment link below. Upon receipt of payment, the current issue will be promptly sent, followed by the next 12 issues.
